Christmas Camping -

It has been years since we went camping. We learned it was pretty tricky with Violet and it's always hit and miss with weather and bugs. But, we felt that this year was a good chance to try our hand at camping again. Remmie might have been a hassle, but at least she was small and manageable. And the bugs would not be out and the daytime temps looked good!

So we booked 2 nights at Lake Bob Sandlin, and it was great! The place was so cute and clean - they had decorated the whole park with blow up Christmas decorations and strings of lights here and there. I was especially pleased by the lights on the bathroom! How fun!

We relaxed, read, fished at a stocked pond, hung out in hammock, and found various hideouts. We also got to watch the "Bethlehem Star" (Jupiter and Saturn very close) from the fishing pier and celebrate our 18th anniversary (I got pearls!). The nights were chilly and I fussed about making sure Remmie was warm enough, but overall it was great. Remmie was a fantastic camping puppy (and so cute in her new coat!).
