Colorado Christmas

Colorado Christmas was great. A big storm was coming through TX on the day we were supposed to leave, so we delayed our visit to the Fishers' and did the whole drive to 2107 in one day. We had a sweet couple of days with the Tallon/Huffman side of the family, especially enjoying how much Gabi had grown up! We treasured our final trip to that house and were pretty sad to say goodbye to it. So many good memories made in that place. We did enjoy getting to see Grandma & Granddad's new digs and slide around on the floors with no furniture!
Our time in Denver with the Sykora/Burcham side was great, too. Lots of good food and celebrations to be had. This year when the guys saw Star Wars, the girls all went to paint pottery and have tea. Sweet time for all! We celebrated birthdays and Christmas and ended the festivities with the delightful fondue finale. I had a couple of days of stomach bug in the middle, and I was SO thankful to be well in time for that finale! We stopped at the Fisher's on the way home, retrieved Violet in Tyler, and were home in time for New Years in Longview. We enjoyed a quiet night getting settled back in after our CO adventures.
