A great comment from clever little Lucy the other day: The big kids and I were discussing how old Samuel would have been when Hannah took him to Eli and dedicated him. Noelle has chosen to draw this scene for LTC, so we were discussing what would be an accurate picture. Lucy said she knew how old Samuel was. "He was three." We asked how she knew that. "It's easy. Because it says that when she dropped him off, Hannah took his 3 year old bowl." It was actually a 3 year old BULL :)

Spring Schedule
Spring is upon us again. This time of year has definitely taken on a certain feeling. It is kind of a clash between things winding down and gearing up simultaneously. The cold weather has come to and end, and we have moved into mosquito and fire ant season, sadly. But we are having beautiful, perfect weather as the trees start to bud. Yellow pollen dust covers everything outside and the poor allergy sufferers of East Texas (including Isaiah and Noelle) are feeling it. The school year is coming to a close, but we are in the midst of LTC practices (Bible Bowl, Chorus - Noelle, Art, Scripture Reading, and Puppets/Drama - Isaiah). We head to Dallas next week for the 2 day competition. Memory Master proofing just started yesterday and both Isaiah and Noelle passed with flying colors! 3 more proofs to go, and we'll see if I can pass this year, too. I'm wrapping up Essentials over the next month, finishing with a Faces of History program and a celebration party. Baseball just started last week, and we are so thankful to be on Coach Tutt's team. He is a friend from church... who doesn't yell at his team and lets baseball be fun! Luke's trying to catch up with grading and finish strong with his classes while gearing up to lead a trip to Israel right after graduation. He's also been teaching a Wed night class and preached last week. The energy around Passage is also accelerating as the counselors are trained and the week is planned. And we are working on the house - trying to get the new half bathroom finished. We are already signed up for swim lessons, camps, and activities throughout the summer. In some ways, it seems we are already ready to plan for the fall.
