Daily Life

Isaiah's new favorite game: Trivial Pursuit! Between all of his reading and our CC memory work, he actually knows quite a bit!

Sweet Noelle - Making things beautiful wherever she goes -

And we are sure finding this little peanut curled up reading a lot these days!

My homeschool-momma plans did not go as planned the other day when we hit the road for the Perot Museum in Dallas. My logic said - the last day before Spring Break would not be a good field trip day. That was apparently not the case. There were 40 school buses!!! Not quite the quiet museum experience we had hoped for. There are so many hands-on exhibits that having it packed really did cut down the fun factor.

We so enjoyed finding this little spot to get a break from the crowds and have a snack! This was probably the highlight of the day - great weather, big city, quiet rooftop snack, awesome kids -

Eventually, the school groups started dissipating, and we got our hands on the hands-on stuff -

We just HAD to see a 3-D Mars movie while we waited for things to clear out.

Fun leap frogs out front -

So, Isaiah had entered a new era - choosing his own clothes! Mimi has definitely caught on to this desire, and instead of sending some new outfits (like she did for the girls), she sent some money for shopping. He and I went out together, and this was his favorite thing he bought. We will not lose him in this!

3.14 - March 14 - Pi Day means pi making and eating! One for us, one for Stan & Sharon -

And we prettied up the backyard recently with some flowers! Yay, spring -
