LTC and Easter

LTC/Easter weekend is settling into our lives as a normal schedule. It was hard to adjust do being so busy on Easter weekend, but I think we have adapted.

This year was special for several reasons. First, it was Noelle's first time to participate! She jumped in with both feet, participating in chorus, art, and bible bowl. She did awesome!

Second, we got bumped up to the "Executive Level" at the Anatole, which meant we had access to a 24 hour lounge with coffee, sodas, snacks, appetizers, and desserts. There is not a family that would have appreciated that more. We loved the view from the top of the hotel and joking with each other about how we were "richin'" with the rich people. We asked the kids what they thought rich people would say to each other in the lounge, and one of them suggested, "Hey! How are you riches?"

Isaiah also kept up his regular LTC rhythm with art, puppets, drama, and Bible bowl. We were so very proud of both of them and their thoughtful study of 1 Samuel, their creativity on their art, and their hard work and team spirit for chorus and puppets/drama. And of course, hats off to Lucy who is always along for the ride!

Easter morning was sweet as we did Easter baskets and church. The Longs hosted our traditional neighborhood meal and egg hunt, which was such a blessing. We are so thankful to have these sweet friends to celebrate with!
