January 6, 2016 - Our sweet Noelle Avra Tallon is seven!!! We had a "Tallon Girls Party" in the works for Feb, so we had a little family celebration on the morning of her big day.
She requested cinnamon rolls a la Butcher Shop -
Morning wink from little sis -
And big bro -
She was delighted with a few more treasures for Kit - a bathtub, pajamas, and beauty shop kit. She also got a sweet music box, and Raggedy Ann doll.
Dad headed to work and we played at home before some errands and a little bday lunch at chicfila -
Noelle, What a joy you are! You are a bit like a mystery chocolate to me. I know that what I find inside of you will be delightful, but I'm often surprised by what it is! Your creativity, determination, courage, independence, and laughter shine through you. So many of your gifts are different than mine, and I love seeing what God has given you and imagining the ways you will be able to love and serve Him and this world with your unique personality, gifts, and passions!
This year, you have amazed us with your artistic abilities. You draw and create something every day. You have such interesting ways of seeing color and design. And you draw without copying anything else (unlike your parents!). It's amazing to see your creativity and joy in creating.
This year, you have worked hard in your reading and you're getting better and better. Learning to read is not your favorite thing to do, though you're eager to read Magic Treehouse books. I think 2016 will be your year for that.
You are fierce and confident in sports and in playing with the boys. You're a leader and guide when playing with the girls. With both, you're quick to suggest ideas, learning to be quick with compromise, and quick to laugh. I love seeing your sense of humor emerging and it delights my soul when you throw your head back and crack up over something.
This past year has been your hardest year health-wise, with bouts of allergies, asthma, ears that are often plugged, and trips to urgent care. You've been a trooper, though. You rarely complain and have taken it all in stride. You're not one to fret or worry.
You love making pictures for me, playing games with the family, acting out cherades (you are usually an object, rather than an action), baking, playing outside, tackling Isaiah, having your room to yourself, teaching Lucy something you know how to do, caring for Kit, going to CC, listening to books read to you, and going to piano lessons (though you don't like to practice!).
You are such a precious part of our family and we are so thankful to have a big 7 year old girl in the house this year!! We love you!!
