Here's to 2016

Within hours of our return, Noelle and I had our new mixers out and busy.  I love my beautiful new mixer!!  It was so fun to put it in the kitchen.  It may have to live on the counter.

Noelle put some good wiggling time in on the long drive from Denver to Longview.  Her first top tooth was ready to pull out soon after our return -

The way Noelle pulls teeth is very indicative of her personality.  She decides it's time for a tooth to come out.  As long as it's a little wiggly, she gets to work on it.  Once she can tell the end is in sight, she really sets to work in front of the mirror.  She likes to be alone for the wiggling and bleeding, but she runs to me repeatedly for updates on her progress.  Once it's out, she runs to show us all!  This girl is not bothered by blood or pain in her mouth.  Ah!  She looks so different!!  Sweet girl -

We got to go to the Briscoes' 3rd Annual New Years Eve party.  It was a fun celebration, but my headache was rocking and games and squeals and chatting in a garage for a few hours was about more than my little head could take.  The kids had a good time, thought, and the Briscoes were so kind and hospitable to host us all and plan some pretty awesome family games -

2015 has been a great year for us and it has totally flown by.  Our days feel almost too busy, yet we have a lot of peaceful hours in the midst of busyness.  I'm incredibly thankful for the many gifts of this year in friendship, family, Alpine, CC, school, home, health, and faith.  We look forward to 2016 with resolve for better habits, deeper willingness to serve, and confidence that, come what may, our compassionate and powerful Lord will go with us.
