Yes, there is a little more to life than our precious kiddos... though just a little these days!
Luke's been very busing juggling regular responsibilities at Letu plus all of the committees that he signed up for plus dealing with Letu politics, plus helping with a poverty conference plus house projects plus teaching/leading at church plus making time for the fam. He finished a grant proposal just before the school year started, so he's been scrambling since then. It is all good though, and the Lord is certainly using and growing him in the process. We did get to go out on date night a few weeks ago. We had Thai food and cupcakes. Longview feels very small on date nights!
I've been a busy momma/teacher/minister/homemaker, too. Each day is pretty well packed and I'm always behind on something - or somethings. It is a sweet season, though, and I love most of what I'm busy with (minus the laundry!). It was really fun to go out with some dear friends for Kerri's 40th bday recently. Kinda weird to be moving away from the phase of my friends having babies into the phase of my friends turning 40...
I've also been able to continue with my Panera Ladies group. We've booked a trip to New York to go to the Brooklyn Tabernacle prayer meeting! How crazy!?
The house is cluttered and I have a desire to go from drawer to drawer or surface to surface to simplify, simplify, simplify. I'm thinking of making simplicity my theme for November. Except November is also the month for Christmas shopping and planning and general fall busyness. We'll see...
