This season has been Isaiah's first go at flag football as well as Luke's first go at coaching football. Their team is the Cobras and they play for Upwards Football. No score, everyone gets to play different positions, and a positive (no yelling!) first football experience. Isaiah's really enjoyed it!
Luke and Steve Mason signed up together in hopes of coaching their 2nd graders together on the same team. So fun!
What a huge blessing to have awesome friends with awesome kids in Longview. Here's Isaiah and William!
Practicing some plays before the game -
Cute team huddle. Coach Mason and Coach Tallon are doing their best to keep these 1st and 2nd graders focused and listening -
Each team gets announced and gets to run through the tunnel on the way to their field. Go Cobras!
The girls have little to know idea what's going on during the game. They are sweet little sisters, though, sitting happily as long as they have dolls, purses, and snacks.
This was one of the best plays of the day! Hooray for Isaiah's catch and this completed pass. Later, he said he didn't really understand why that was such a good play. We reminded him, that at this level, having a good throw plus a receiver in position plus an actual catch is a big deal! The other team scored about 4 touchdowns (but who's keeping score?). Not a great scoring day for the Cobras, but woohoo for small victories and lots of fun -
