The sweet birthday girl had to wait for days and days before she finally got to ride her bike. We had a few days of bad weather, then we needed to replace a missing bolt. Finally, about a week after her bday, we picked up the right bolt on the way home from church and got that bike ready to go. She was in heaven and really did whisper in my ear, "Mom, this is the best birthday present ever!" She's been riding for a month now and is actually more cautious now than she was on that day. She's still doing well, though, and thrilled to be on a big girl bike!
