Cold days

Here's our little birthday meal celebration for my 34th (!) birthday!  Luke tried out his smoker for the first time and smoked us some super yummy ribs.  I did some clothing shopping in the morning as my gift from Isaiah and Luke.  Noelle chose nail polish for me and Lucy gave me some coffee.  I made a chocolate cheesecake for dessert.  It was a sweet little start to year 35 (!!!!). 

January had plenty of cold days around here.  I loved it!  I know most of the country has been socked in with never ending winter.  Ours is short, but cold and cozy enough to feel like a real winter.  There has been a lot of play dough time -

Luke texted a few week ago telling us it was snowing. We scurried outside to look for flakes.  I think we spotted about 10.  A Longview snow storm is easy to miss.
