In Denver

We enjoyed our time in Denver, too! Isaiah had been really looking forward to Gunther Toodies w/ Pa (who else lets him get M&M pancakes and chocolate milk?), fishing with Pa and getting his hair cut with Pa.  Sorry I don't have pics of any, but all both happened and were fun!  No fish caught, but good memories made.  Isaiah's fishing day was Noelle's "tea party day" with Mimi.  This sweet girl was up before 5:15am, waiting downstairs for her tea party to begin.  She helped Mimi get it all set up and then sat very happily enjoying her tea party for 2 hours!

Lucy woke up as we were finishing and was able to attend the party for a few minutes.

Learning how to keep that little pinky up!

We had birthday extravaganza, celebrating Pa, Luke, Shannon, and Isaiah.

Playing in the creek!  After a morning of golf for the men, we all met up for a picnic and creek play.  The big kids could have stayed all day, but Lucy was ready to move on after a few hours.  We stopped for ice cream on the way home.

I don't have too many pics of Aubryn from this trip, we spent a lot of time with this cootie patootie!!  It was so much fun to play with her.  She's a little tired here - she had some "late" nights over at Mimi and Pa's house to spend time with us.

The grand finale of the trip was a reunion with some of our awesome St Andrews friends.  The big kids and my parents spent a few days over at Shannon and David's house and let us turn their house into our vacation getaway.  We had such a sweet time together!

The other main events of the month are not pictured.  One was visiting Noah in the hospital.  The sweet girl was there for a full month.  We were so glad to be in the area to at least be close enough for a handful of visits.  They are home now and still appreciate your prayers for her recovery!

Also we did a lot of moving work.  Since the plan was to move into our new (unfurnished!) place as soon as we returned to CA, we had a lot to do to get ready for that.  We went furniture shopping, we bought sheets, we brainstormed how to creatively and frugally make this little pre-fab home fabulous for our little family, we sorted through boxes in both basements where they have been living, we rented a uhaul, and eventually, we packed up and drove back!  Roxanne came with us and was a huge help.  Luke drove the truck and the rest of us drove the van.  We arrived 2 weeks ago, glad to be settling into our new home!
