Easter at Home

As LTC approached, Luke and I were increasingly apprehensive about going. Thousands of people at a convention in Dallas just didn't feel like a wise move at the start of a pandemic. We pulled out before the official cancellation and I started looking forward to Easter weekend at home. Although we value LTC, it is a lot of work and totally exhausting. Getting ready to go, several super full days there, then driving home and getting geared up for a special Easter Sunday kind of wears me out. Since this may be our last home Easter for a while, we made the most of it.

Hot Cross Buns from scratch -

Leisurely egg dyeing -

Resurrection cookies, which felt new to Lucy. We hadn't done them in several years -

Easter morning was a little weird. I was up early, getting ready for the day when the tornado sirens started. We moved Easter baskets to the hall and spent the first part of our covid-Easter in the hall and closet -

Lucy had been wanting her own bible for a long time. She was super excited to get it and jumped right into highlighting anything that caught her eye!

We watched Alpine's service online and enjoyed rachlette for lunch -

Finally, and indoor egg hunt. This also felt weird because it was inside and it was just us. We missed friends and being in the yard, but it's still fun to hide and find candy-filled eggs -

Happy Easter 2020!
