Oh, my brave girl! It was so fun to watch you play your final game of the season with a smile on your face and eagerness in you feet.
As I watched you get in there and go after that ball, I was so impressed by your boldness and aggression. You are so different than your mother was on the soccer field.
You were very quiet and obedient at practices. You wished you had known someone on the team as it takes you a long while to feel comfortable with new friends.
Nonetheless, you learned the game, loved wearing your uniform and cleats, and didn't let those big, fast, experienced girls scare you off!
Your sister was at every game... mostly playing with princesses.
And your brother watched or kicked his own ball around during games.
And, finally, the moment you had looked forward to ALL season came... trophies!!!!
On this last game, when you played so well AND got a trophy, I was sure you'd be ready for another round of soccer this year. But, no, you have decided you prefer ballet. So be it. Proud of you, little Cheetah, and your willingness to try new things!!
