Playing machine-pitch for the second time on the Reds was great for Isaiah. This season will be remembered as the year that half of his games were rained out AND the year that his team won the championship!!
As a mom, I felt cheated that I didn't get to see him play more! But, he had a really good attitude throughout the season. It felt like we were "on-call" for months, waiting to see whether or not a game would happen or not. On many occasions, games were canceled because the fields were too wet to play on.
These girls hung in there. They watched more this year than last year and were starting to get an idea of what's happening out there. They are still not loud cheerleaders, but they hang in there.
Luke was sort of an assistant coach this year. He helped at practices and coached first base ("run!").
For the championship game, the Rotzlers, Longs, and Caldwells all came out to cheer on Isaiah!
Once again, I'm super proud of this kid. He played 2nd base (his preference) for a few games, but mostly played pitcher. He improved a lot in his throwing and catching this year. We're proud of the way he gets in there and goes for it and for the attitude with which he plays. He's definitely MVP in our book!! Go Reds!
