Home Christmas is our first Christmas. Warm, peaceful, happy, and simple. This is one of my favorite days of the year. I love getting up in the dark to turn on the lights, make coffee and breakfast, set our little table, and anticipate the sound of excited little feet running down the hall.
Each kiddo got to open 1 gift before breakfast. The girls each got a purse with their initial on it. Isaiah got the first 3 books in the Redwall series.
Breakfast was french toast casserole, fruit, and sausage.
Our annual "before the gifts are opened" pic.
Luke's highlight was this fancy shmancy coffee brewer!
Noelle got the little horse she'd been wanting!
I was so excited to give the kids new fleece blankets! I loved making blankets this year. It felt good to actually make and give something homemade which I could actually do. The kiddos loved them and they've been close companions for our car trip, naps, and bedtime sleeping.
Ah, the aftermath. Isaiah's enjoying his Calvin & Hobbes book. He also got a football, some Star Wars figures, a Boogie Board, and a game. Noelle really loved her horse and also got some Frozen figures, and a Boogie Board. Together they got a Rainbow Loom.
Lucy's favorites were her "Dogguitar" and a set of Sophia the First bath toys -
I got money for a new chair for the living room and some handy kitchen tools.
In the afternoon, we had hot appetizers for lunch then snuggled on the couch to watch the Lego Movie. I hadn't seen it yet and I really enjoyed it - almost as much as Isaiah enjoyed sharing it with me!
We were incredibly thankful for such a peaceful, healthy, blessed Christmas 2014.
