Colorado Part 2

This year, Colorado part 2 was in the mountains!  What fun to make the trek across CO to meet the Tallon side of the fam at a cute little retro hotel in Gunnison.  We really enjoyed this little vacation full of lake play, hiking, hanging out, eating, and enjoying good company -

All 5 cousins ready for lake play -

Ready to roll!  Noelle liked riding on the boat, but she wasn't up for tubing this year.

I expected Lucy to like riding on the boat, but she was much happier with her feet right here in the mud -

Isaiah's first tube ride!  He loved it!

Trying to coax Lucy into a boat ride.  We did eventually get her out for about 8 minutes, most of which she was repeating, "I'm not enjoying this!"

On our second full day, Noelle was feverish.  I stayed back at the hotel with her.  It was actually a very sweet day as it is rare (as in never happens!) that I have long extended time with just one kiddo without regular house/home responsibilities.  She didn't feel awful, but took a long nap.

We did miss out on some beautiful hiking and cute city wandering in Crested Butte -

But, we were all feeling good enough for s'mores.  We laughed about how we'd never made a campfire and s'mores with this much daylight, but when you need to get kids to bed, you do what you need to do!

In both parts of our CO time, Isaiah proved to be an awesome big kid brother/cousin.  One of his duties was being a friendly referee for these 2.

This was probably our last pack-n-play trip.  Lucy did great in her "special bed", but she'll be ready for a big bed soon.
Hotels are so fun!

Back in the Springs, we were able to enjoy more family time.  These two cousins had so much fun together.  Grandma painted their faces to look like fairies -

We took a trip to the arcade in Manitou Springs.  Again, Lucy surprised me with not being keen on riding on a moving object.  For each one she climbed on, she first asked me, "Mommy, can this one not move?"

Elliot loved the ice cream truck!

Tiny merry-go-round -

The big kids were happy to ride as many as they could, preferring the ones with the highest and biggest movements.

The other highlights were date night for Cass & Alex and Luke & me, playing at the park, reunion w/ the Barbaricks, church at Eastside, splashing at America the Beautiful park fountain, and playing in the back yard.  We packed a lot of fun into a short time!
