Mimi comes to visit - part 2
Wow. There was a lot of excitement around here yesterday! As Luke made is his way across the Atlantic, the kids, Mimi, and I spent the first part of the day at Andromeda Gardens. It was Mimi's first time to wander around this little tropical wonderland, and we all enjoyed it. Every time we've gone, Noelle has been more confident on her feet, from being in a stroller the first time to walking/running/hopping the entire time yesterday!
Part of the experience is taking a break for fresh juice and breadfruit chips. Here I am with our guava, passionfruit, and pineapple juice.
Noelle and Mimi enjoying each other in the garden -
After our garden adventure, Mimi took us to The Round House restaurant, a little place overlooking Bathsheba beach. She and Pa had been there for lunch during their last visit, and she wanted to treat us to a nice lunch out. Not a bad view from the patio -
"We love you, Pa!"
There are lion statues outside the restaurant. Of course if Noelle sees something she can "ride" she'll go for it! She says "horse!" and wants to climb on. She also does this to Isaiah in his bed when we're trying to wake him up after his naps, too.
In the afternoon, Isaiah and I decorated to welcome Luke home from his viva. His gift was a much-needed grown up watch :) I inteded to go pick him up on my own during the kids' naps, but Isaiah was just too excited to sleep, so he got to come with me to the airport. It was a sweet reunion.
We were so proud of him and glad to have him back with us!
Our little sparkling cider toast before Luke had to head off to teach class. Duty calls!
That seemed about enough excitement for the day, but Mimi took a spill on the stairs in the middle of the night! She missed a step in the dark and ended up with a broken collarbone :( We're sorry she's injured, thankful it wasn't worse, and glad we get a few extra days with her while she begins her road to recovery!

Oh Holly, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's broken collarbone. Yikes! :( I look forward to hearing all about Luke's Scotland trip and his Viva.
Love, Chantal.
Holly, you look like such the island beauty in that dress! And I just love how your mom went native and wore her hair up, too. I'm so sorry to hear about her fall. Hope she heals quickly! Love you all - enjoy the post-viva glow.
