Mimi comes to visit - part 1
This last week, Mimi has been with the kids and me while Luke has been in Europe. He took a whirlwind trip through Germany to meet Noah and spend time with Cass and Alex and then on to Scotland for his PhD viva. More on that later. The kids and I have really enjoyed having Mimi here! She (along with all the grandparents!) is a celebrity as far as Isaiah and Noelle are concerned. For the last few weeks, the words "I can't wait for Mimi to come!!" have popped out of Isaiah's mouth at unexpected moments. And Noelle has been saying "Mimi, beach" and "Mimi kiss owie". They have been waiting outside her door every morning ready to be near her from the moment she wakes up. And if I sit down to read a book with Noelle and Mimi walks in the room, Noelle will close the book, put it under her little arm, climb off my lap and make her way over to Mimi. She's put them each down for naps and bedtime and we've had many special moments. Here are a few -
