Almost everyday, I have a sense of "ooooh this moment is SWEET and I probably won't remember it!" My babies are growing up so quickly. Here are a few sweet moments from recent days:
- Noelle loves looking at books now. She'll get a book, stumble over to me or Luke hand it over and climb into our laps. Her favorites are Who's Hiding at Home (which was Isaiah's favorite too), Goodnight Moon (she laughs at the "cow jumps over the moon"), and the dog book that Aunt Shannon gave Isaiah during his dog fascination stage.
- Isaiah was putting on his muscle-packed Superman costume the other day and he asked if we wanted to hear a song he made up about Superman. Of course, we did! It went like this "Superman's chest is available.... Superman's chest is available..." We're not sure what he was trying to say, but it was funny!!
- Every time anyone says "fish" in earshot of Noelle, she makes her smacky fish noise.
- Isaiah is really into having 2 robots/stuffed animals/plastic objects talk to each other. He doesn't do it on his own, though, he always wants one of us to make something talk to whatever he's making talk.
- We've been getting back into the habit of family dance parties. Not much can relieve the stress of the day like a few minutes of dancing around to Weezer or Michael Jackson or Third Day! The kids l-o-v-e family dance parties. Now that Noelle is 100% on her feet, she marches around, clapping and laughing as we all dance. It's really fun :)
- This evening I was getting some water boiling on the stove top and there was some old food burning off the burner. I hear Isaiah say from the other room, "That sure smells good, Mom!"
- I love finding stores where 2 kids can sit side by side in the cart. The kids have so much fun together, especially when they have a snack to share. Isaiah's job is to give some to Noelle whenever she says "please" without giving her so much that she gags.
- They have also been having fun spitting their drinks in the backseat of the car. As much as I love hearing their belly laughs, I think I delayed ending that behavior a little bit too long.
- Noelle is eating with a fork now, she loves to turn lights on/off, and she is really into shoes ("ish!!").
- And, my baby girl has her first haircut coming in the next day or two...

These are great moments. I loved reading them and laughed esp. at Isaiah's superman comment and "That sure smells good!" :-)
