First, I need to confess that the posts over the next few months may be more for me than for you... I do want to share them with you, but I also want to capture some of St Andrews life for myself. This blog has become our family scrapbook for nearly 4 years, and I'll probably tie it up and get it printed when we leave St Andrews (and start a new one). We don't know where we're headed in a few months, but we do know that there is a very good chance that we're moving on.
So, back to the post. Today was a lovely St Andrews day. I've come to realize that for me, a lovely day means NO wind. It doesn't have much to do with temperature, cloud coverage, or even precipitation. The wind can be pretty brutal off the North Sea, and we get some really strong gusts. Unless I'm flying a kite (which, on average, I do once a decade), I'd prefer a very still day. And today was one of those days. We met Luke at the North Point for happy hour coffees and scones (pancakes for Isaiah), which was also lovely and quiet since the students are away on spring break. Then, I wandered down The Scores with my babes in tote. We walked down to the Old Course, where Noelle napped and Isaiah and I watched the golfers. We both have a hard time following the ball, but it's fun to watch the guys tee off. Afterwards, we strolled back up through town, ran some errands, and read books at the bookstore (something Isaiah l-o-v-e-s doing and has been asking to do all week). Before naps, we played in the backyard for a bit. It was Noelle's first time in her brother's full-body fleece suit and she was so cute in it! I held her and kicked the soccer ball with Isaiah, which he's pretty good at. This afternoon means naps, cleaning, a bit of time to myself, and preparing to have some friends over for Luke's jambalaya (something he's in the process of perfecting).
My baby girl in the backyard. I just can't get enough of this sweet face!Isaiah has been in a short phase of asking to have his picture taken. He's loving his tractor these days!
