Whew! It is incredible how fast these little ones change. Everything is going SO much faster for me with Noelle than it did for Isaiah. I felt like I had endless time to just sit and watch him sleep! The days and the developments are flying by with my baby girl. The biggest changes over the last couple of days have been a lot more cooing/"laughing", the beginning of discovering her hands (and how nice they are to suck), and being ready to put herself to sleep as opposed to being soothed to deep sleep. We can hardly keep up with her!
Probably the biggest change in our house this week, however, has to do with our big boy! We've had a very successful week of potty training!! We gave it a go about 5 months ago, you may remember, and he was just not ready. But this time, he's doing amazingly well. We had about 5 accidents on day 1, but days 2, 3 and 4 have been accident free. He's even keeping his diaper dry during nap and nighttime. Woohoo!!! The things that worked for him this time around were chocolate chip and Thomas tatoo rewards, wearing cool underwear w/o pants around the house, and having the control of initiating his runs to the potty. Oh, and Luke built him a cardboard rocket which happened to be big enough to put his potty in. Sitting in a "poo rocket" helped give him patience to spend more than 3 seconds on the potty. Although we're thrilled to be free from changing our big boy's diapers, it's a little sad, too! His pants fit him differently now, and he walks and moves like a little boy rather than a toddler... Our baby boy is growing up!
