Someone out there must have been praying that I'd have some sunshine on my birthday! The forecast for today and the next ten days was rain, period. But, this morning when the 3 of us headed out to my favorite cafe in town, the North Point, for breakfast - it wasn't raining! And, by the time we finished a delicious meal of pancakes (with a good-behaved toddler, I might add), the sky was blue and the sun was bright! Luke headed to work, and Isaiah and I got to spend a few hours soaking up the rays. Now, Isaiah's down for his nap and the clouds have rolled in. Looks like rain.

We felt like that too, as the sun streamed in through the windows at church yesterday morning. God knows when we need a break from the gray, bleak weather. Even just one morning can make a huge difference in our ability to endure more of the same.
