Snow!

I feel most like a Texas family when we get giddy with excitement over a bit of snow. Knowing it was in the forecast for this weekend, we have been diligently watching the weather, hoping the chance of snow would become a reality. We had outside church in the morning, and we spotted a couple of flakes. The kids were thrilled to see it really coming down by early afternoon and we all ran right out to enjoy it! The girls headed to the Caldwells to enjoy the squeals of delight together as Luke, Isaiah, Remmie and I went for a snow walk. Before long, the big wet flakes began to stick and gather enough for snowmen! The girls stayed out with the Caldwells until after dark, making the most of this rare occasion in Texas! This morning there are big wet clumps of snow falling out of the trees and the forecast looks like it will warm up by afternoon. So, we are pushing back school by a couple of hours and playing in the snow!

We decided to brave the cold with Driveway Church. It was VERY cold, but a fun, sweet gathering that we were all thankful for.
