We enjoyed celebrating our favorite 14 year old!
6:00 - Mom decorates and makes breakfast
7:30 - Isaiah gets woken up with Remmie kisses
7:45 - breakfast casserole and birthday blessings with the fam
8:30 - 12:00 - School! This was the first "full speed ahead" day in Challenge B since he had his first community day yesterday. Although it seems like a bummer to do school on your bday, Isaiah was pretty ready to dig in and have enough to occupy him for the whole day. 4 months of summer at home has been plenty! He did get out of cleaning up his room and kitchen chores.
12:00 - Regular home lunch
12:30 - Watch first Introductory Logic videos with Mom. Whew! This is a huge leap in his schooling and SO very good. I'm thrilled that we get to do this. Isaiah enjoys it too.
1:45 - Girls head to Caldwells to play and swim, Isaiah gets to go with me to take Remmie to the vet for de-worming! He downloaded a couple of funny podcasts for us to listen to as we waited in the car. (cuz covid)
2:30 - Isaiah finishes school and shifts gears to a bit of screen time
5:30 - Dad's home. Open gifts - Switch game, putter, golf glove, Series of Unfortunate Events book, golf balls/towel, basketball court marking stuff, melting metal
6:00 - BLT's and Sun Chips for dinner (because Tuscan Pig is not open on Wednesdays)
7:00 - Play new game, eat Chocolate Sheet Cake w/ rocky road ice cream
7:30 - Take Remmie for a walk
8:00 - Play Switch with Luke until bed
Isaiah continues to be a truly delightful, interesting, funny, thoughtful young man. We are beyond proud of him and loved celebrating him today!!! Birthday dinner coming tomorrow. Party coming Saturday night.
The next day, we hosted a covid-style birthday party. We bought a projector and were given a screen so Isaiah had Landon and William over for basketball, Switch, and ice cream cake outside. Caleb was supposed to come, but his family has covid! These boys were thrilled to be together. After so much isolation and distancing, these moments mean even more. We are grateful Isaiah has these awesome young men as friends -
