New Year 2019

We rang in 2019 with our own little New Year Eve celebration! After contemplating inviting people over, Luke and I decided to have a family night. We ate another round of fished-out-of-a-frozen-lake-by-Isaiah trout (not Lucy's favorite!), drank "special drink" sparkling cider, shot off some firecrackers, lit some sparklers, and played Mexican Train dominoes for the first time (thanks to a gift dropped off by Mary).

The big kids requested a midnight wake-up, which Lucy would have also requested, had she known this was a thing (next year, Lulu!). Luke opted out, but I set my alarm for 11:45, got the tv set up, filled more glasses with "special drink," and woke up Isaiah and Noelle for a 10 minute New Year celebration!

2018 was a really fun year. So much travel, so many memories, and several milestones. We trust the Lord with our lives in 2019 and look forward to all He has for us. We discussed some hopes/goals we have for the year. I'd like to reach more for a book and less for my phone and continue on the guitar, others hoped for progress on instruments, getting healthier, playing better basketball, serving more regularly ... We will cheer each other on along the way! Thankful to be entering a new year with this happy, peaceful, fun family.
