Solar Eclipse 2017

The solar eclipse was much-anticipated all across the U.S. I always love those rare, neat experiences that join the country and remind us that we are not the center of the universe. Not much controversy or debate surrounding an eclipse - just millions of people excited to experience it! We were not very close to the path of total darkness, but we were promised a good show. We prepped with eclipse glasses and I obsessively checked the weather to see if we needed to drive somewhere to escape cloud cover. We had been counting down the day and were pretty committed to seeing it, so I was determined to make it happen!

We ended up driving out to Forney, where we were promised sunny skies, and a park with a nearby Sonic. Such a fun day of being in awe of God's creation!
