Basketball Season

We really loved our season of basketball this year. For Isaiah, basketball continues to be his favorite sport. This year, he was one of the oldest and most skilled on his team, so he got a lot of playing time. Don't know what to do with the ball? Pass to Isaiah! He learned a lot, including the importance of practicing shooting at home. His coach, Shamir, was great. He'd played professional ball in Europe. He was kind, gentle but still able to keep the boys in line and improve their skill. Team Rockets also happened to just be a team of kind kids. There were a lot of encouraging words at practice among the team - "You can do it!" "I believe in you!" "Great job!' So sweet.

Noelle's team was the Cavs this year. She loved having Evelyn and Sarah on her team, and she really loved being coached by her daddy. She was a little firecracker on the court - aggressive, confident, and focused. She made a basket in nearly every game and did some great defense, too!

We were all bummed to see the season end, but happy it was such a great year -

Mary came to watch one Sat -

Lucy was very content with her little purple bag full of princesses and figures to play with. She'd just disappear into imagination land and be totally happy through 2-3 hours of games.

This was a sweet crew one day - Greens, Longs, Caldwells, and Coppingers!

2 Fierce Number 1's!

Mimi & Pa were able to cheer at the final games!
