Halloween was lovely this year! Jack and Roxanne came down for a week, spanning a soccer game, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, CC, and meeting their first granddog. We carved pumpkins in the backyard. Everyone's personalities came out in the carving process. Isaiah had a big vision for his Star Wars symbol themed pumpkin. It was harder than he expected, he got disappointed and discouraged, then pushed through and was proud of his end product after making some adjustments. Noelle. did the whole thing herself this year! She worked with determination and focus to complete it on.her.own. Lucy had a daddy helper. She didn't love digging out the goop, but we made her touch it a little bit. She designed a cute, happy jack-o-lantern and was happy with the way it turned out. Mommy took pictures. Violet ate chunks of pumpkin we dropped. The grandparents carved one pumpkin together - one face on each side.
When I pass the camera to Luke and ask him to put me in our family memories, I usually end up with a few shots like this... Here I am!
I maybe shouldn't play favorites, but Noelle's costume this year was maybe my favorite kid costume we have ever had in the last 10 years. Part of the fun was in the fact that she determined to be Pippi Longstocking in November of 2015 and didn't let go of that plan for a whole year. She grew her hair out, she thought though what her costume should look like, she practiced her braids, and in the end... it was PERFECT. How cute is she?!?
"Little Ela" and a very handsome Superman were Pippi's sidekicks -
We had an earlier opportunity to dress up for the church's harvest festival.
One more just cause they are so cute and fun and I love them so -
We trick-or-treated first at LeTourneau. Luke as a hunter, me as a farmer, the kids as their cute selves.
We had heard that Jack and Roxanne had some impressive costumes this year, and it was true! We loved Roxanne, the Olympic Torch Bearer and Jack, the pirate!!
Sweet friends at LeTu
