When Isaiah moved from 8 to 9, he was emotional. He loved being 8! When he moved from 9 to 10, I felt a pang of sadness, feeling like my little boy was being replaced by this big double-digit kid. We took one last pic with our 9 year old before tucking him in - (He still likes to be tucked it, and we'll hang on to that as long as we can!)
With the party on a day other than the 19th, we celebrated low-key. Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast -
Early morning gifts before Luke went to work -
Then I took the kiddos to G-Force to jump around in foam pits for a few hours -
For dinner, we were very proud of our 10 year old for his culinary maturity - sushi!!
A little fried cheesecake on the house!
Of course my sadness of loosing my 9 year old boy has quickly been replaced with delight in having an amazing 10 year old son. This kid is just an all around awesome kid and we are beyond thrilled and incredibly thankful for these 10 years the Lord has given him. We pray for many more years of life, love, laughter, and joy as he continues to grow up!
