December 31, 2014 was our second time to ring in the New Year w/ our Life Group at the Briscoe's house. We had gotten back from our travels a few hours before and everyone was glad to see us! We'd texted them a lot from the road since we didn't have internet service on our phones and we were looking for weather reports and updates on the ice storm. It was sweet to be received by them and welcomed back. Plus, it was awesome to have homemade soups and grilled cheese. And, they let us bring nothing but our road-weary selves!

The Briscoes found some great family games for us to play this year! In this one, we had to get an Oreo from our heads to our mouths without using our hands. It was hilarious!
This game was pretty awesome, too. We put tights on our heads with a tennis ball in the foot. We had to swing our heads around to knock bottles over with the ball. So funny!
We did our countdown to the new year at about 8:00 and then went outside to set of a few fireworks and do sparklers. We had some leftovers from the 4th of July that everyone enjoyed! So, I guess we did bring something. And I think we will be in charge of fireworks every year. We were thankful to celebrate with this little community. Last year, we felt like we hardly knew these people and this year we feel much more comfortable and connected to our group. You can't rush relationships, and we are thankful for these steady growing, Christ-centered friendships.
