We are so thankful for the chance to choose and plug into our church so quickly. We knew we didn't want to be on the church search for long. We have in our minds and hearts what our ideal church would be. Knowing that this perfect church isn't in Longview - or anywhere else - we are grateful to have joined Alpine Church of Christ! There is nothing like committing to place to make you love - and critique - and invest in a church. This is our new family here, and we loving seeing the face of Christ in this place. For only being here for a few months, we've been able to get involved in quite a few ways. A few weeks ago, we got to go set up the church pumpkin patch on a (cold!!!) Saturday morning. Barbados and CA have made us such weaklings when it comes to climate. We were freezing, but it was probably in the low 50's. These pictures make it look like we did it all ourselves - ha! There was a whole crew of boy scouts and leaders, who definitely did the lion's share of the work. Luke and Isaiah put in some good lifting time and both were sore the next day.
The kids and I worked on the tiny pumpkin area, too.
We were surprised to be told that helpers get to take any pumpkin for free. The kiddos got some BIG ones for carving this year!
