- I sprained my ankle coming down some stairs, which means my left foot is colorful and swollen. It was especially disappointing because I've been training for my first ever 5k and I hadn't missed a day! I'm still hoping to recover, train, and run in March.
- Of course having an injury gives you time to slow down and be thankful that you can usually run and walk with zero pain.
- It also gives the kiddos a chance to give me extra TLC and it helps me remember to choose joy (or try to...) when I know they are watching how I handle these little trials.
- Isaiah and Noelle have been doing gymnastics and both are loving it.
- Lucy is a different kid every morning - learning and understanding SO much! We've been testing her, asking her to do things or get things, and it's incredible to see how much she knows. She makes sniffy noises every time she sees the lovely roses dear hubby got me for Valentine's Day
- Lucy is 1 week away from being a 1-year-old! Can't believe it! I love that she's not walking yet, though. It makes me feel like she's still my baby.
- The kids are always, always hungry. I feed them, but I can't seem to satisfy their ever-rumbling tummies. We have some major growth taking place around here.
- I finally got Isaiah some new pj's that reach the floor and cover his little tummy - size 8 (!!!!)
- I am putting forth a lot of time and effort into pulling my photography business together. I even bought a domain name today! And in the last few weeks, I've purchased some new equipment, watched a lot of tutorials, and have put some effort into my business plan.
- Noelle had a really rough afternoon, crying through her whole rest time. Her response was, "I'm just not acting like I usually do!" It was her first time being self-aware of being in a funk.
- Luke's been reading the Narnia series to the big kids. It was amazing to see how well they both listened, absorbed, and discussed the book. They loved it and have moved on to Prince Caspian.
- The kids have learned how to "spider swing"
- Luke and I have been watching Downton Abbey
- We've been at school events, a birthday party, play dates, and we're doing some L.A. adventures into downtown
- Lucy's fallen in love with raspberries
- We're preparing to camp for a few nights next week - first time with all 5 of us!
- Isaiah turned 6 1/2
- We just came home from a play date with some of our dearest friends here - Miss Becca, Bailey, Cassia, Miss Kim, Evelyn, Marianne, and Ewan. This little crew is so dear to us and, although we have a few more months together, I'm already missing them...
- Noelle told me, "Well, Mom, I oppose you're right."
- Luke and the kids are outside throwing the football, but I know they'll come in hungry in a few minutes. Better go finish dinner - spinach quiche and fruit.

We love you too! I love the super ninja names my girls came home with last week from our play date...Sunset Sky (Evelyn) and Gray Horse (Marianne) to play with Black Knight (Isaiah) and Green Grass (Noelle).
Sorry about your ankle. That's a certain bummer when you're training! I hope you can still do it. This is a great post. It's a fun glimpse into your world. So thankful for it (and inspired- maybe I can do one, too...)
Love you guys!
