On Tuesday, our dear friends Katie, Elias, Jonas, and Tomas came over for gingerbread house making. Katie brought all sorts of goodies to decorate with, and all the kids had a great time. Isaiah was proud to have the tallest house. Noelle was just excited that I kept saying "yes" to her inquiries about consuming candies.
On Wednesday night, we took a family outing to a nearby neighborhood called "Candy Cane Lane" (at this time of the year). The houses are totally decked out with lights, wood cutouts, blown-up decorations, music, and even a snow making machine. We stopped at Starbucks for peppermint hot chocolates and then wandered the neighborhood. This area will never have a white Christmas, but what a treat to be able to walk around admiring lights!
On Thursday, our friends Kim, Evelyn, Marianne, and Ewan came over for sugar cookie decorating. It was fun to do this for the second year in a row with them! We missed Becca, Bailey, and Cassia..
On Friday, we had our Fun Group school co-op Christmas party! We read the Christmas story, sang songs, did a book exchange, had lunch, and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. It was a fun morning.
And today was our Family Christmas day! We had monkey bread for breakfast and opened our gifts.

Tomas and his house. One of my favorite moments of this week was when this little cutie pie said "Happy Holidays!" to me on his way out of the house. So unexpected and CUTE.
