Last week, Isaiah and I completed this book. It has taken a little over a year to make our way through it, and by the time we got to the end, he was breezing through the final lessons. I would say we've had a reader for a few months, but finishing this book was a great accomplishment! He's unstoppable now! He's participating in the "Earn a Personal Pan Pizza for reading" program at Pizza Hut, he's learning the etiquette of not reading other peoples texts/emails, he's able to pick up any book he wants to try and go for it, and we're learning to be more careful about things like Christmas lists laying around. We are SO proud of our reader! It is awesome to sit and listen to him read. We still read to him a lot, of course. But now, we can recruit him to read to his sisters, too! We have no doubt that he's going to enjoy reading for many years to come and can envision him under the covers w/ a novel and flashlight past bedtime, or reading in secret behind a couch to avoid chores just like some other Tallon boy used to do...

Well done Isaiah! I had to laugh about the 'etiquette of not reading other people's texts and e-mails'!
