6 months!!

Lucia Jane is 6 months old today!  She's doing all of the 6 month old things she's supposed to do - almost sitting, pulling her head up in a baby crunchie when she's laying down and wishing she could sit, immunizations a few days ago, growing (she's 14 pounds, 9 ounces, at about 20th percentile in height/weight and about 50th in head size), and, as of a few hours ago, eating solid food!!  

The big kids have been SO excited for Lucy to eat.  Today was almost like Christmas morning for them!  While Luke and I were still in the waking-up-after-going-to-bed-too-late-and-being-interrupted-too-many-times-in-the-night fog, the big kids were eagerly putting a bib on Lucy, gathering the spoon and bowl, tearing into the rice cereal box and telling Lucy, "You get to eat today, Lucy!!!"  

She did pretty well, and actually consumed some of the rice cereal.  She flung some on Noelle's face, which left Noelle with a cry/laugh and a little fear in her eyes.   But, for the most part it was a fun experience for all 5 of us.  What a lucky little girl to have 4 people ready to feed her :)
