to the North

This Saturday, we're having a moving sale. We have 2 rooms of our house taken over by toys, books, dishes, rugs, all labeled and ready for purchase. We've already sold quite a bit and are hopeful for a good turn out. The weather has been very rainy for the last few days, but it is clear and warm this morning - good for a sale.

Last Saturday was much more fun! The last thing on our bucket list for Barbados was to explore the North part of the island. We left early in the morning for St. Lucy, the northern most parish of Barbados. We were surprised by how populated it was - and by how close it was to us. If the island didn't feel small before we drove up there, it certainly did afterwards. We stopped at some cliffs for the view. We could see the whole of the East coast. We then made our way to the very top where we explored Animal Flower Cave. It was really fun - especially for the kids! The cave is full of places to explore, sea anemone to touch, and a natural pool to swim in. It was definitely the coolest place we have ever gone swimming. Isaiah didn't stop smiling the whole time we were in the cave. He loved it!

These pics are a little out of order, but I can't move them at the moment -

Swimming! At one point, it was 7 feet deep. Cool, clear, salty, lovely!

Such a beautiful place - I hope you aren't bored in the US! It is loaded with conveniences for a mom, but it does lack in other ways. Sometimes I really miss living in a beautiful place...but on a weekly basis, I admit I am thankful for the conveniences. :-)
