I just have to make note of some of the sweet and funny things that come out of my baby girl's mouth these days. I LOVE this stage of development. Sure, there are those frustrating toddler moments of intense, irrational, emotional outbursts. But watching her speak and communicate is a JOY. We felt the same way with Isaiah, just amazed by the emergence of these little personalities through language.
- When I hear her little voice in the morning (by 5:45...) she's saying "Mommy. Out. Bre-fast. Oatmeal." I bring her downstairs, and she tells me she needs a bowl and spoon. Once her oatmeal is ready, she asks for "butter in it" or "cin-mon on it".
- She's just adapted a phrase from me into her vocab - "Dat's 'nuff, I-ya" or "Dat's 'nuff, Mommy."
- I think my favorite pronunciation is the "t" in place of "k" at the end of words. Around here, we drink milt, read boots, and have a daddy named Loot.
- She likes to sing "Yes, Jesus me. Yes, Jesus me. Yes, Jesus me....." She skips "loves", but she gets the tune and beat pretty well.
- Sometimes she tilts her head to the side and kind of bobs it when she really wants to explain something to me.
- After nap, she says "Get fresh diaper, Mommy."
- When we wake Isaiah up from nap, she says "Hi, Sweetie-pie. Hi, Sweet boy." Both of these she got from me, but she's also added, "Hi, Sweet man."
- And, in good toddler fashion, she is wanting to do everything herSELF. Many times in the day, I hear "Noelle do it!" or "Elf! Elf! Elf!"

Holly, I totally agree - this stage is such fun! Cameron calls the song "Jesus Me," too, and yesterday he said to Patrick, "Oh, honey! How are you doing?" They are just the cutest.

She's a sweetie!

Oh, I am resonating with this post! :) Mia is almost 2 1/2 and in many ways she's Little Miss Independent. "Elf! Elf! Elf!" cracked me up. Logan used to say "I do it mySELT!!!" Love you, Chantal.
