I love Thanksgiving!! It has become my favorite holiday of the year. This year was a hotter Thanksgiving than I've ever had, but it was very sweet and we have much to be thankful for!
We made craft turkeys a few weeks before the big day -

We did our thankful leaves again this year. Noelle wanted to thank God for "cheese" most nights. Our leaves reflected both life in Barbados and the struggles of coping with the aftermath of Tomas this year. We thanked God for sanity, electricity, flashlights, hope, etc. -

A few days before Thanksgiving, we spent the morning at Bathsheba with Melissa and Todd again. Such fun to catch up with a dear friend -

Thanksgiving morning, the kids
finally got to wear their turkey hats -

I made it all this year (except a chicken instead of turkey)! I have to admit that I was proud of myself for doing it all. I realize that I look strange in a sundress standing over my stuffing, but this is Bajan Thanksgiving!

The feast -

The night before Thanksgiving, when Noelle was in bed and Luke was away teaching, Isaiah and I made the pecan pie together. Then while it was baking we each had a piece of pumpkin pie. A sweet evening for us!

We really enjoyed having Melissa and Todd here to share the holiday with us!! Here we are post-feast, post-pie -

Thanks to God for all of His goodness!

I can see who will get to take over the festivities aka cooking when you return to the States. Seriously, everything looked absolutely beautiful. Btw, the turkey is the easiest part---you accomplished the hardest parts. Love, Roxanne
