Halloween

So, we've had a bit of an eventful few weeks. Here are some Halloween pics. My mom fell down the stairs the night before these pics were taken. She was worried that the kids might miss their Halloween party due to a trip to the doctor the next day. But, it all worked out. The urgent care and the party were on the other side of the island, so Luke sat with my mom at the doctor and the kids and I got to go to the much-anticipated Halloween Party.

Here are Buzz Lightyear and my little bee outside our house -

Isaiah would say "To infinity and beyond!" and Noelle would also throw her little fist in the air and say "Beyond!!"I was very thankful for a friend at our play group who hosted a little party. It was the first time the kids got to bob for apples. Isaiah chased his for a bit and then asked me to hold it so he could bite it. Noelle just reached in an grabbed the one she wanted, took a bite, and went for a few more. There were lots of sweet Halloween treats that the kids very much enjoyed. They sat on this chair together and indulged in cupcakes, cookies, and black cat peeps.
They don't really celebrate Halloween here, so it was unexpected and fun to have a reason to dress up and enjoy some festivities! We missed carving pumpkins, but Luke reminded me that they would have rotted within a day anyway -
So after this little party, I loaded up my cutie pies and we drove back to pick up Mimi and Luke. She'd discovered she had indeed broken her collarbone and she was in a sling. We stopped at KFC for a bucket of popcorn chicken on the way home and got settled in back at the house just in time to have no idea that we were about to be hit with the biggest storm Barbados has seen in almost 30 years. We had 10 days without power and 2 1/2 weeks without phone/internet. More to come on that adventure later -
