16 Months!

Our sweet Noelle is 16 months old! It's hard to believe, though now that her hair is long enough for pigtails, she's definitely looking like a big girl. This is Noelle at 16 months:
- She's ready to start the day around 6, though we're still battling 1 night waking around 4.
- Her favorite foods are oatmeal, cottage cheese, blueberries, grapefruit, peas, fish, graham crackers, tortillas, raisins, and yogurt.
- She's getting pretty good at using utensils when she eats, and now she doesn't just want food scattered across her high chair tray. She wants her own bowl or plate!
- She l-o-v-e-s balls, asking to play with a ball a few times a day. If she hears the word "outside," she immediately says "ball!"
- Her other words are mama, daddy, Isaiah ("eye"), doggie, shoes ("ish"), grapes ("ps"), please, book, trees, fish, more, yeah, hi, no, moon, dance, baby ("bee"), nose, ears, eyes, teeth, and beach.
- Often she wakes up from nap asking for her shoes to be put on right away. The girl loves shoes.
- She thinks Isaiah is the greatest thing ever, and if she sees her brother doing anything, she's pretty sure she wants to be doing that, too.
- She loves to dance. She'll go over to the computer, bend her little legs and say "dance" in hopes that we'll turn on some music for her.
- She weighed in at 20 pounds at her last dr. appt. I don't know how accurate the scale was, but she's at least within a few pounds of that.
- Brushing her teeth has become another favorite thing. Everytime we pass by the bathroom sink, she says and signs "please!" to see if I'll let her brush her teeth. Again.
- I can put pigtails in her hair if she sits up on the counter and digs through Luke's toiletries. I have to work quickly, but the method seems pretty successful so far.
- She's started saying "hi!" when she sees people. Or sheep.
- The sheep around the house are a never ending motivation for her to "baaaa!"
- She loves to point out the moon.
-We're working on a bit of a bad habit of biting and scratching. She doesn't do it to be mean, but it needs to stop.
- She is still really tuned in to music and she's starting to sing a bit. "Row row row" comes out of her little mouth quite a bit.
- She gives the sweetest kisses and squeezey hugs around our necks.
- Recently, she discovered her forced laugh. She force-laughed through every page of Goodnight Moon the other day.
- She's cut a lot of teeth in the last few months. The molars are well on their way now.
- She's generally a happy, sweet, funny little girl, and we're generally crazy about our precious Noelle!
