In the yard

These days, I am only napping once/day. Sometimes Mommy still tries to put me down for a morning nap, but I won't do it anymore, even on days like today when I woke up at 5am! In the afternoons, I take a long nap, 12-3. My big brother naps 1-4, which means I get a whole hour with Mommy after nap. Today we went for a walk in the backyard.

When Mommy set me down in the grass, I was not happy. I've been teething for the last few days, so I've been less than chipper.
I decided I did want to explore, as long as I could hang on to Mommy's finger. She loves having my pudgy hand gripping hers. I really am getting to be a pretty good walker, but the yard is very bumpy and grassy and uneven.
I got to see a plane!
And then I spotted the neighbor's dog. I pointed and laughed and woofed at it.
Finally I let Mommy step a little ways away from me, but I wasn't too excited about it.
Okay. Maybe I can do this on my own.

Oooops! Maybe not.

Finally, we went around to the nice, smooth, flat front porch where I could really cover some ground.
