And, while I'm at it, I need to record some recent developments in the life of Noelle. She officially started crawling a few days ago, at 9 1/2 months. I'd forgotten how much busier life is with a babe on the go! It has taken Isaiah off guard, too, as she can now get to his toys pretty quickly. She's also giving kisses, clapping, and dancing. The less fun development is that she wants MOM. Ok, it is sort of fun to be the one to make all of her troubles go away, but not so fun when she cries when I pass her off to daddy. It doesn't happen all the time, but that separation anxiety is starting to rear it's head a bit more. She's already wearing some 12 month clothes (!), though she's still on the small side. And she's down to 1 waking a night, around 3. She gives the best smiles and laughs, and she's generally ADORED by her family.

Fall Fun
One of the sweet things about having this extended transitional time in Colorado is FALL - something we would definitely not be experiencing in Barbados. Fall is my favorite season of the year, and it is all the more sweet to enjoy it with my kiddos. Isaiah and I have been doing "learning time" most mornings. I know, not a very creative title for my preschool-esque period of our day, but the kid loves it! My mom has a huge stash of curriculum and craft ideas from all of her years of teaching, so I've had a pretty good set up for my little guy! This week, we focused on scarecrows and pumpkins - crafts, stories, math games, songs, etc. all revolving around this theme. Today we made scarecrow cookies.
I haven't been outside as much as I was in my St Andrews life, but we've been out as much as possible. Yesterday, we headed to the park to beat the snow that came today! Check out those pearly whites in my baby girl's mouth!
I love these 2 pictures because they show the difference in development so clearly. Isaiah is thrilled with the sight of leaves falling down on him and can't wait to catch them. Noelle has no idea what's happening until they fall on her sweet face.

Last week was "apple week". Of course the only part I took pictures of was, again, the food part. Here we are makin' apple sauce -
Enjoying the crisp fall weather -
Ah. You'd have no idea that this sweet moment followed a fairly long period of Isaiah's disobedience, pouting, fussing, and falling off a bench. Luke is such a patient and gentle father.
Checking out the neighbor's halloween decor. Um, yeah...
"Look, Mom, I found your favorite - the red leaves!"
Hmmm. You'd almost think that Isaiah wasn't the one to request this picture -
My cutie patooties. Seeing them both in a picture is about enough to make my heart burst. I'm crazy about these two -

Yes, I always get most homesick for Utah this time of year. Great pictures! Both Isaiah and Noelle look like they have grown up so much in the few months since you left. Sounds like Ruby and Noelle are on similar night-waking schedules. I don't know if I can bear 3.5 more months of interrupted sleep! You're such a patient mom. We sure miss you guys here!
