Aunt Shannon is here! We've been having a great time with her, of course. Last time she visited in June, it rained the entire time and she had to wear my jeans and sweatshirts to stay warm. But, this time, we're getting some lovely summer-ish days!
One activity that we've been really looking forward to doing with Shannie is going up to the strawberry farm. We had scones and coffee, played in the sand, and got to see the animals. Isaiah loved showing Shannon the 12 piglets and playing on the "brown thing", a play structure that he loves playing hide & seek on.

Yesterday, it was actually warm enough to wear shorts AND short sleeve shirts with NO jacket! Wow! We spent some time at, what Isaiah calls, "the swirly slide park". Here are a few pics from there.

People have been very quick to notice that Shannon and I are sisters. She's the tall, tan one and I'm the shorter, whiter one, but fairly similar otherwise. Even our haircuts are similar right now. Poor Isaiah has even been a bit confused. I went into his room after his nap and layed down beside him. I said "Time to wake up! Come over her and snuggle with me." Usually he loves to snuggle, but he layed close for about 3 seconds and then said "I'm ready to find my mommy..." I laughed and said "It's me! Come here, Sweetheart." He layed down again and started to get a little sad again, saying "I want Mommy now ...." But, other than wanting me to snuggle him and tuck him in at night, he wants Shannon for every second he can have her! And, of course, Noelle is very much enjoying her first encounter with Aunt Shannie, too! More pics to come soon.
