I got this from Stephanie's blog and figured I'd do it, too, for your reading enjoyment -
1. Fresh Tree/Fake Tree? I wish I could have a fake tree that smelled like a real tree. In the States, we bought the smallest (ie cheapest) real tree we could find. In St Andrews, we have a big, sort of ugly fake tree. But, with lights and ornaments, it's very nice.
2. Favorite Ornament- The growing selection that Mimi has been adding to our little family selection. There is one from a few years ago that has 'Luke', 'Holly', and '5 Fleming Place', our first flat in St A. Good memories there.
3. Favorite Christmas Song- This is easy. It is most definitely O Holy Night. Luke and I both think this is one of the greatest songs ever created.
4. Favorite Tradition- Mostly revolves around food. The Christmas goody selection must include almond raspberry thumbprints, fudge, Chocolate snowballs (a new addition), and "flannel jammies" (if my mom makes them). Plus, we have to have Italian food on Christmas Eve and a special brunch on Christmas morning to be eaten between stockings and presents (frittata, some kind of sweet bread, sliced ham, fruit salad, and coffee).
5. Favorite Gift Ever Received- Most memorable - a doll house from Santa, complete with real lights that turned on - my own little rocking chair - gerbils with all of the accessories we could imagine (they turned out to be much less like little Disney characters and much more like rodents than we had hoped)
6. Favorite Christmas Meal- It is hard to beat the 7 Fishes meal at the Russo's. 3 courses of Italian deliciousness!
7. Favorite Christmas Cookie- Raspberry Almond Shortbread Thumbrints - easy, pretty, and so tasty with a cup of coffee.
8. Favorite Place to be- Near the Christmas tree with the xmas lights on and the main lights turned off.
9. Favorite Memory- My first married Christmas with my dear hubby, 4 days after we tied the knot. We were in Breckenridge on our honeymoon and SO happy to be Mr. & Mrs.!!
10. Favorite Christmas Movie- I think Elf is really funny, but it's hard to beat National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
