Here I am at almost 23 weeks pregnant with my little assistant, pointing out his sister. I am feeling a lot of movement now. Luke is able to feel her squirming around, too. Isaiah has felt movement, but is just totally uninterested in this tangible proof of life inside of me. Concepts like "baby come out, eat breakfast!" seem to resonate better with him.
We are doing more than watching my belly grow, however! Luke learned recently that he will be teaching a systematic theology course this semester. He's been working hard and fast to get it all together by Monday, when the course begins. It is great for him to have a reminder that he does love teaching, and this is what is at the end of the long tunnel called the dissertation... He's also busy writing a chapter for a Psalms book and beginning the job application process. Isaiah's favorite thing to tell Luke as he's heading out to work or slaving away in the home office is, "knock it out, Daddy!" with an enthusiastic punch in the air. He's a great little encourager.

You look great, Holly! Congrats to Luke for the teaching position. It's wonderful to have those reminders about things we really enjoy, even if it takes boatloads of work to prepare for them.
What a fun shirt- you look radiant! You're probably lucky you don't live closer to us...Isaiah would grow up thinking that all men get the same "knock it out" pep talk when they simply begin a day's work! He'd never know it's a special disertation chant that both his dad and uncle require in this phase of life. Oh, the light at the end of the tunnel is lovely- especially when a teaching gig accompanies it! We love you all- Cass (and Alex)
Good for Luke! We are so thankful for his new post!
