We have just returned from a great month of family, friends, food, and fun! We spent 2 weeks with each side of the family in Colorado and a few days in California for the Bortz wedding. It was a great trip! The best part for us was seeing Isaiah re-bond with his family. He can now call everyone by name, which is so much fun for all involved. So now the family goes by Pa, Mimi, Sannie, David, Gam-ma, Gand-dad, Cass, and Aex. Here are a few pics from our adventures in the States in no particular order...
One of those things that a Grandpa will let you do -
Soaking up the sun and heat in downtown Colorado Springs -
Woohoo! Whitney and Brennon tied the knot!
Sweet reunion with college roomies -
How old are you, Isaiah? (at his first 2nd birthday party) -
Mimi, Grandma, and one very loved grandson -
Enjoying our return to So-Cal -
88 ounces of deliciousness from Sonic for... $2 - that's just 1 pound, people! -
Isaiah's first movie - Wall-E -
Fishing with Granddad. Isaiah got to fish with both sides of the family, and created his own chant - "Come, fishies, come!" -
Mmmm. First watermelon experience -
On the Royal Gorge train -
In the mountains for 4th of July, working on a puzzle w/ Shannon & David -
Loving the backyard pool and access to a hose -
4th of July jammies -
Eating basil from the backyard -
Ladies' tea -
Now we're back to normal life. It's good to come back to Scotland in August. These next 3 months are my favorite here, and we're warm to the core after 90 degree weather in the States. So, now we can handle the 60's and 70's and frequent rain that a Scottish summer brings. As we're getting settled back into our routines, I'm going to really try to get back into blogging, too!

Thanks for the update! It's so good to see what you've been up to. Isaiah is precious and I'm glad you had a great time with family and friends (and Sonic of course).
