A few days ago, in my attempt to creatively fill the "post-nap, pre-dinner, too cold and wet and dark to go to the park, Isaiah's fussy and bored, Daddy's not home yet" hour of the day, I made homemade playdough. I know there are lots of recipes out there, and I was drawn to this one because I didn't have to cook it and it would just take a minute to mix up. It's basically just flour, water, and salt. I followed the recipe, but it realy needed more flour. It turned out more like thick glue, but I thought Isaiah might still find it interesting and fun to play with. Did he enjoy it? The pictures speak for themselves, I think -

Great idea, Holly. We keep a big roll of butcher paper and crayons on hand for similar afternoons. Then whatever the boys create can be used as wrapping paper later on gifts for grandparents. I often trace the boys' hand prints and put their names and dates as well as whatever they "draw."
BTW... we call that the "witching hour" in our house. It's hard to find something that suits at all sometimes. Hang in there!
Dad and I laughed out loud when we saw these pictures! Funny!

That is hilarious! He's adorable even when his nose is turned up in disgust. :)
