We have a word!

Yes, it's true. Our wee busy bee spouted out his first official word today. It was "Diddy". Unfortunately, Diddy wasn't around to hear it. There was a knock at the door, and Isaiah spun around expectantly, gave me a big smile and said "Diddy!" thinking that Luke was home. I thought I heard him say it earlier today when he saw his daddy, but this time, I was sure that this first word is legitimate. So fun!! I can't wait to hear more words come out of that little mouth!

This picture is from a trip to the beach on Monday. The weather has been fabulous for a few weeks now. We feel like we've finally had a summer, and we're ready for fall. Isaiah and I really enjoyed some happy play time at the beach after a pretty rough weekend. His first molar broke through sometime between Saturday and Monday, and it wasn't a picnic for anyone involved. He's a fairly happy clam now, although we know there are 3 more giant teeth just waiting to make their immanent appearance.
